Here I am, finally back in France and it feels great. I already had a croissant for breakfast and a dance party last night. Within one hour of my arrival in Angers twelve of Marjerie's French friends had shown up for a late night BBQ. This was a great way to throw me back into speaking French, but not such a great way to deal with a jetlag headache. I took a quick shower and somehow managed to dance the night away in Marjerie's living room till 2 am! I think it was adrenaline...
Today we'll be taking it a little easier and tomorrow we're off for a day trip to La Baule, a small beach town on the west coast. I'll finally get to see the French Atlantic in warm weather (some of you may recall my first rainy trip to La Baule last October and my windy trip to Arcachon in March) and do a little tanning and a little picnicing. Now I must be going for a little stroll to downtown Angers with Marj and Aurore. It's almost surreal to be back here again, like I never left, but it's also entirely wonderful.
