Rue Peguy

What can I tell you about living in Paris? Every day I'm happy to be here and every day I see beautiful things. Today I tried to go to the Medical Insurance office, near the Eiffel Tower, but they were closed, so instead I took a long bus ride to the Hotel de Ville. I got off the bus near my language school and scurried in there, out of the sprinkling rain, to pay for my classes this year and get my student ID. French beaurocracy is at it again, meaning I need to be signed up for classes before I can use those documents to get a metro pass.

I really enjoy where I live. My street curves off of the major Blvd Montparnasse, into the quiet corner of the rue Peguy. My large, blue and white curtain-framed bedroom window faces west so the sun is never too hot and I see some nice colors at sunset. I can see the Tour Eiffel and the Invalides from my window! There is a cathedral not 50 yards away, which tolls the hour and reminds me when I'm running late. For instance, the bells are about to chime for 11 am and I am supposed to meet Marjerie for a jog around the Jardin du Luxembourg now.
